About MorrisonFilm

MeHello, my name is Shawn. This is where I put things. This site has been active since 2002. A lot has changed since then but basically I'm still writing ridiculous articles about ridiculous things. You can also look at my Flickr photostream which is a lot of fun if you aren't blind.

This site uses Simplelog, a simple Ruby on Rails weblog application. I explain why I use it in this entry. This site is hosted by Dreamhost.

I've made 4 short films that are currently available online. I also host a semi-regular comedic podcast with Garrett Murray that has a 5 star rating on iTunes!

After several weeks of planning, shooting and editing I’m proud to finally announce the pilot episode of Maniacal Rage TV. It’ll show up in the standard podcast feed if you’ve already subscribed and should automatically sync up with your video iPod or iPhone. There’s also a larger version that looks great on iPhones for those interested.

Otherwise, check it out in the inline player.

Don’t forget to leave your feedback in the forums!

[UPDATE: We’ve sweetened the pot, see below]

We’ve had a podcast in us just dying to get out and it finally happened. Episode 18 is now available.

Of note in this episode is the second official Garrett Murray podcast contest.

Help us Rename the Podcast

We are changing the name of the podcast and need your help. That’s right, you can name the podcast anything you’d like. “Bees Are For Kids” could be your submission. Or “Wax Paper Sandwiches.” Or both. Submit 10. Whatever. If we like it, we’ll use it AND you’ll win a brand new iPod nano.

  • Any color you want.
  • Engraved with the new podcast name that you came up with.
  • Pre-loaded with a personalized super creepy audio message from us to you.

We’ll also pick two random submissions and give them iPod shuffles just ‘cause we’re super good guys like that. So you have no reason not to enter.

Check out the contest page for full details.

Could it get any sweeter than that? No. No it can’t.

The only condition is that if we don’t find a new name, we will kill three listeners*. We realize this might hurt our fan base but we thought you guys might need a kick in the ass.

Good luck!

* Kill with comedy, not knives

This is really strange. Yesterday on the subway a thought randomly formed in my head. I wasn’t thinking about iPods and I wasn’t thinking about games. The thought was, “If they made a Sudoku game for the iPod, I would buy it.” Nodding my head and feeling good about my resolve to buy something that didn’t exist, I returned to reading my book. And then today they release a Sudoku game for iPod.

Coincidence? Or does my brain’s desires manifest reality?!

We may never know.
