MeHello, my name is Shawn. This is where I put things. This site has been active since 2002. A lot has changed since then but basically I'm still writing ridiculous articles about ridiculous things. You can also look at my Flickr photostream which is a lot of fun if you aren't blind.

My Man Julian

Last night I spent my birthday getting dinner and drinks at “The Riv”, a Red Sox bar in the West Village. Because it’s a little oasis of New England, everyone cheers a little louder, claps a little harder.

Julian Tavarez was on the mound, keeping the Yankees in check. He’s one of my favorite players because he brings so much character to the field. Whether he’s punching a guy in spring training or having a moment with Manny or saying he wouldn’t mind if you called him Shit Tavarez.

Anyway, I just found out that yesterday was also his birthday. Add him to the pantheon.

What a party that would be!
